6 Truths of Life - Fun and Fun Only

1. You cannot touch all your top teeth with your tongue.

2. All idiots, after reading the first truth, will try it.

3. And discover that the first truth is a lie.

4. You're smiling now because you're an idiot.

5. You soon will forward this to another idiot.

6. There's still a stupid smile on your face.

I apologize about this.

I'm an idiot and I needed company.

The Laws of Life

Law of the Workshop
Any tool, when dropped, will roll or slide to the least accessible location.

Law of Probability
The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.

Law of the Telephone
If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal.

Law of the Alibi
If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will have a flat tire.

The probability of meeting someone you know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don't want to be seen with.

Law of the Result
When you try to prove to someone that a machine won't work, it will.

Law of Bio mechanics

Murphy's Law of Lockers
If there are only two people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers.

Law of Rugs/Carpets
The chances of an open-faced jam sandwich landing face down on a floor covering are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet/rug.

Law of Location
No matter where you go, there you are.

Law of Logical Argument
Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

Brown's Law
If the shoe fits, it's ugly.

Do you know Gandhi Kanakku?

We come across this Gandhi kannahhu or Gandhi account, when one try to write off dues from some one or some amount spent could be exactly categorized.

Why such a greatman's name is dragged for this accounting? some search to
find out more on this, is found in Madras Tamil or Madras Bhasha. It quotes:

Gandhi kannakku means Fraudulent accounting.

Before 1947, when India was fighting against British occupation, companies
and individuals often included Contribution to Freedom movement as an item
in accounting statements. Most often accounting statements would not tally
because management funneled money out. Contribution to Gandhi's freedom
movement provided an excellent means to account for the missing money.
Hence the term Gandhi Kanakku. One should apologize to Mahatma Gandhi as
this term brings a small amount of disrepute to him, for no fault of his!!!

Namespace Vs Assembly

A namespace is a logical naming scheme for types in which a simple type name, such as MyType, is preceded with a dot-separated hierarchical name. Such a naming scheme is completely under control of the developer. For example, types MyCompany.FileAccess.A and MyCompany.FileAccess.B might be logically expected to have functionally related to file access.

The .NET Framework uses a hierarchical naming scheme for grouping types into logical categories of related functionality, such as the ASP.NET application framework, or remoting functionality. Design tools can make use of namespaces to make it easier for developers to browse and reference types in their code.

The concept of a namespace is not related to that of an assembly. A single assembly may contain types whose hierarchical names have different namespace roots, and a logical namespace root may span multiple assemblies. In the .NET Framework, a namespace is a logical design-time naming convenience, whereas an assembly
establishes the name scope for types at run time.

Cursor and Its Type in SQL Server

A cursor within T-SQL is an in-memory representation of data pulled from a SELECT
statement. Cursors are actually an extension of a result set that provides the ability to
work with one row, or a small block of rows, at a time.

STATIC Think of this as a snapshot of the result set. A static cursor does not
reflect any types of changes to the underlying database, such as INSERTs, UP-
DATEs, or DELETEs. This is a read-only cursor that can go forward or backward.

FAST_FORWARD This will create a fast forward-only, read-only cursor. As the
name implies, the cursor can only go from the first row forward to the last row.
Unlike a STATIC cursor, rows are not retrieved from the database until they are
fetched. Any changes to a row (from INSERT, UPDATE or DELETE statements)
before the row is fetched, will be reflected in the fetched row.

DYNAMIC All changes made to the underlying data via INSERT, UPDATE, or
DELETE statements will be visible in the cursor. By default, uncommitted data is
not shown unless the transaction isolation level is set to read uncommitted.
KEYSET This creates a fixed order of rows in a keyset-driven cursor. The keyset
is built in the tempdb when the cursor is opened. While the order of the rows
can not change, any UPDATEs to the underlying data are reflected in the cursor.
INSERTs to the underlying data are not visible unless the cursor is closed and
reopened. If a row has been deleted the @@FETCH_STAUS will return a-2 for a
“row missing” status.

Windows Azure - An Intro

Windows Azure™ is a cloud services operating system that serves as the development, service hosting and service management environment for the Windows Azure platform. Windows Azure provides developers with on-demand compute and storage to host, scale, and manage web applications on the internet through Microsoft® datacenters.

Windows Azure is a flexible platform that supports multiple languages and integrates with your existing on-premises environment. To build applications and services on Windows Azure, developers can use their existing Microsoft Visual Studio® expertise. In addition, Windows Azure supports popular standards and protocols including SOAP, REST, XML, and PHP.

Use Windows Azure to:

  • Run commodity processes in the cloud
  • Build, modify, and distribute scalable applications with minimal on-premises resources
  • Perform large-volume storage, batch processing, intense or large-volume computations
  • Create, test, debug, and distribute Web services quickly and inexpensively

Windows Azure Benefits

  • Bring your ideas to market faster and pay as you go
  • Reduce costs of building and extending on-premises resources
  • Reduce the effort and costs of IT management
  • Respond quickly to changes in your business and customer needs
  • Choose an on-premises or off-premises deployment model that best suits your needs.
  • Scale your IT resources up and down based on your needs.
  • Consume computing resources ONLY when the needs arise.
  • Focus less energy on managing operational resources and constraints.
  • Remove the need to manage hardware
  • Use your existing development skills to build cloud applications
  • Consistent development and management experience across on-premises and the cloud.
